Best Tools to Convert Bin to ISO


When downloading software for your Windows computer, you can catch many files in BIN format. So, to make it work, you will need to convert those BIN files to ISO image and then mount them in a virtual drive for use.

In this guide, I'm going to walk you through a couple of tools that can help you convert .bin format to a .iso image. Each of them has its useful features. If you just want to convert a few files, then using free software is a smart idea. But if there are conversions on a basis, you should invest for a paid utility.

CDBurnerXP has been popular for years. The main function of the tool is to burn DVDs and convert .BIN files to ISO images. The software does not require you to burn .bin files to a physical disc. Instead, you can create an iso file and then mount it on a virtual drive. The utility is completely free, works perfectly and user-friendly. Just launch the tool, choose the .bin file for the conversion, set an output and wait for the tool to do its task.

To convert bin to iso, click Burn ISO image on the main screen. Then move to Convert to ISO menu. Add bin file path and choose a new path for storing the converted ISO image. Wait for the conversion to be done. That's all of it.

Another free software that claims to convert .BIN images to ISO format is WinISO. However, you will need to download the 5.3 version or older version to use it freely. The Pro version will cost about $20 with more features like editing, creating, converting mounting, and burning ISO images. Fortunately, you can do it on the older 5.3 version for free. The minus point is just it's pretty outdated interface. Overall, it's not a big deal.

You can use the WinISO tool to convert any .BIN file and even create bootable ISO images from the converted file. There are a few differences between the paid and the free version.

As its name implies, Any2ISO tool allows users to easily convert any file format to an ISO file. The paid version will take you $23 for full functions. However, they have a lite version as well, which is free. But, the minus point here is the liet version does not support files larger than 870 MB. Since the allowed size is very small, so you need to upgrade to Pro version mentioned above to use full features of the software.

The software allow converting different types of file from 7zip, DMG, RAR, BIN to ISO images. If you have a Blu-ray DVD, you can use the tool to convert to an ISO or BIN file. Furthermore, you can also create an ISO image with this tool. The free version can help you do all the tasks with the limited size.

PowerISO is basically the same with the Pro version of WinISO, but 's a little expensive, costing $30. While you can get the tool for free, if it's not registered, PowerISO just supports files that are not over 300MB, which is only a half size over the free Any2ISO version.

Generally, it's great software and works well, but $30 is not worth especially when there are multiple free options for you. But, if you need more features and do more tasks with the image like converting, burning or creating image, it would reasonable.

The last software that is effective in converting .BIN file to ISO image is MagicISO. While the tool has not been updated for 8 years and costs up to $30, it's still a worthy choice. MagicISO is still a powerful software in terms of conversion. Aside from converting .BIN file to ISO format and back, you can easily open, create, or extract DVD images to any folder. Furthermore, it allows you to make an ISO file from a CD-ROM or a hard disk as well as handle your bootable info.

However, it's has not received updates for nearly 9 years, we're not sure whether there is anybody that still purchases this software. You're better spend your money on other software such as Any2ISO, PowerISO or WinISO. While the tool works pretty great, but it does not work with Windows Vista and newer versions.
