We wrote an early post and recommended Rufus as <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/16-must-have-free-tools-for-windows-11\/\">one of the must-have software for Windows 11<\/a>. Another useful feature being added in Rufus (3.16) is the ability to bypass Windows 11 system check. It has an extended Windows 11 installation option to run Windows 11 on a computer without TPM and Secure Boot.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1721\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/rufus-extended-windows-11-installation.png\" alt=\"rufus extended windows 11 installation\" width=\"626\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/rufus-extended-windows-11-installation.png 726w, https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/rufus-extended-windows-11-installation-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 626px) 100vw, 626px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As we know, Windows 11 needs to be running on a high profile computer that <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/windows\/windows-11-specifications\">requires TPM 2.0, Secure Boot and 8 GB RAM <\/a>at the same time. Below is the screenshot taken from Microsoft Windows 11 product page, listing all the requirements for running Windows 11.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1718\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/windows-11-system-requirements.png\" alt=\"windows 11 system requirements\" width=\"806\" height=\"298\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/windows-11-system-requirements.png 806w, https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/windows-11-system-requirements-300x111.png 300w, https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/windows-11-system-requirements-768x284.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 806px) 100vw, 806px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This brings up much trouble for old computers that don\u2019t meet those hardware requirements, especially the TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. People has to look for other hacks and workaround to bypass Windows 11 check so they can <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/install-windows-11-on-unsupported-hardware.html\">install Windows 11 on unsupported hardware<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_Extended_Windows_11_Installation_Option_Does_Not_Show_up_In_Rufus\"><\/span>Why &#8220;<strong>Extended Windows 11 Installation<\/strong>&#8221; Option Does Not Show up In Rufus?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>We received this complain from at least 10 readers in our support tickets. For example, Extended Windows 11 Installation is not available in Rufus 3.20. This is because Rufus team has a complete new design of the burning feature. It now starts with a new UI. Actually the feature is still available in Rufus, only the display text being changed.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Extended Windows 11 Installation<\/em><\/strong> was removed from Image option in Rufus since version 3.19. If you want to enable this menu directly from Rufus, you should download Rufus version from 3.16 to 3.18. Instead, only the routine has been changed. In the follow tutorial, we will show you how to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/make-a-windows-11-bootable-usb-on-mac-with-m1-or-m2-chip\/\">create a bootable Windows 11 USB<\/a> using Rufus to skip Windows 11 system check, including:<\/p>\n<p>Step 1: Download and run Rufus.exe (3.20.1929 in our example) on a Windows PC.<\/p>\n<p>Step 2: Plug in a USB flash drive and import <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/download-windows-11-iso-free.html\">Windows 11 ISO you have downloaded earlier<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1730\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/rufus-import-iso.png\" alt=\"rufus import iso\" width=\"724\" height=\"416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/rufus-import-iso.png 724w, https:\/\/www.uubyte.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/rufus-import-iso-300x172.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 724px) 100vw, 724px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Step 3:\u00a0 Under <em><strong>Image option<\/strong><\/em>, please go with the <strong><em>Standard Windows installation<\/em><\/strong> and leave other fields untouched.<\/p>\n<p>Step 4: Click the <em><strong>START<\/strong><\/em> button at the bottom. Please go back to the drive and backup the files. This means a Windows 11 bootable drive is created successfully. However, the Extended Windows 11 Installation (No TPM\/No Secure Boot) is not available under Image option starting from version 3.19.<\/p>\n<p>More importantly, Rufus 3.19 has added three more customized options for Windows 11 installation.
